this is how we do it noowwww

This blog is something I plan to do in my free time. Since moving to Cali, I've had PLENTY of free time so I thought why not?? Well anyway.. I'm Jessica Johnson and I'm from Texas. I married my Marine almost a month ago while he was on leave in Texas. Originally we wanted a small wedding and then when he got back from his deployment in a couple of years, we were gonna have a biggggg wedding and then go somewhere really nice for about a week. Wellll I let my mom take over the planning of the wedding and it just got bigger and bigger and more $$$ and more $$$ (dont get me wrong I'm very thankful she was there to help) and so now I think we're just gonna go somewhere really really really nice for a week or so when he gets back from his deployment. Our 'love' story is quite interesting, you all will see soon enough. Never the less, I'm extremely happy with where God has placed me today. I have two brothers. The younger, Don, is more like me than my mom hoped for, and my older brother, Mark, is nothing like me at all.

I've lived in Cali for about 3 weeks now and I absolutely adore California. It's so incredibly different from Texas in so many ways. For one, it's not humid here!! I can actually fix my hair and it pretty much stay that way all day! You have no idea how excited I was about that the first time I came to California. Looking back at that trip, I never thought that just over a year later I'd be living on Pendleton, much less Cali. But that's for another post. For two, there's always something to look at! Back home in Central Texas, there's not much but cactus, pecan trees, and grass. For three, there's so many people from everywhere! Especially here on base. I graduated from a 2A high school where there was a total of 65 in my graduating class. Everybody knew everybody and if there was any sort of gossip/news, everyone would know about it in atleast a few hours. I havent met many people since living on base but it's always interesting asking where they're from cause I promise you will likely get a different answer every time.

Well, that's pretty much all for my introduction post.
Thanks yall :)
